thanksgiving was never a big holiday with my family. i haven't been home for it in three years. (apparently, however, now that i'm gone they're having great big family reunions, but anwho...)
so thanksgiving 06 was spent with the roommate, who i suppose i can never get away from (and thank god for it). will's from the philly main line, and his mother was a fantastic cook and his father was a slightly-less-fantastic jokester. there's nothing like someone else's family time.
there was a surprising number of dinner parties, where i stuck out like a sore thumb being the only girl, the only asian, and the only one without parents. one of will's friends commented that i seemed more like his girlfriend than anything else. that would certainly have caused an upheaval among those parents.
saturday was will's best friend's will's twentieth birthday, where will and i were featured as the shitshows. i was pounding away beers faster than most others were sipping their drinks, while will and will went shot for shot twice. a new drinking game we played featured some choice phrases: "ghost face crilla puh puhm!" (will foster) and "will needs to get some birthday ass tonight!" (will's little bro). which, to his delight i'm sure, he did. and to mine, of course.
and five short days later we are back, with two weeks of classes left followed by two or three weeks of studying and exams. currently i'm working on invitations to our crush party on saturday. i'm interested to see how this one pans out. it has all the makings of unexpected retardness.
